Short Story, by James Carroll.
An aspiring writer from outside Cincinnati, Ohio, I am currently working on my first novel about a young adult in a dystopian United States attempting to save his brother from a mysterious illness while navigating his own shifting identity and relationships with others. My writing tends to go down one of two tracks: politics-heavy stories that focus on how society and institutions influence people, and shorter, borderline-shitpost farces on things I think are funny. This story is much more the latter of the two, so please enjoy!
