Short Story, by Donnie Ao-Asen.
Donnie Ao-Asen is a transmasc, Filipino creative writing student and artist in BC. He draws inspiration from his mental health journey, his faith/spirituality, and his love for creepy critters and misunderstood monsters. Utilizing a confusing hodgepodge of prose and his own scribbled doodles, Donnie’s work explores the bridge between queerness and fandom culture, navigating mental illness and healing, and exploring one’s messy relationship with their faith and body. When he isn’t drawing, Donnie enjoys playing DnD and making silly voices to make his friends laugh.
